Welcome to the Finishing School for Young Games
The Headmistress Is In.
Pardon our dust. We're still fixing up the place, but feel free to poke around the grounds or send us an inquiry.
Who We Are
We’re a team of award-winning writers, editors, layout artists, illustrators, and other industry experts with decades of combined Tabletop Role Playing Game (TTRPG) experience and dozens of publications under our belts who want to make your game the best it can be.
Under the tutelage of our esteemed Headmistress, we work with you to mold your fledgling game into the finished product you’ve envisioned.

Is this your first time publishing? Or maybe you’ve done it before but are looking for some help to smooth the way? Our team is ready to bring your young game through all the stages to final publication. You’ll be assigned a project manager who will outline steps, assign work, and guide you through the process. Every project is required to go through our vetting process, which includes a fee that is then applied to future work.

Ashcan
This is a publication of a not-quite-finished game, where you are: judging interest, inviting feedback, and planning to possibly put out a more finished version in the future. The steps include dev editing, editing, layout, and production.

This is your final publication of a finished game, where you are hoping to generate sales. The steps include developmental editing, several rounds of editing, layout, illustration, and production.
Single Services

Dev editing
This involves looking at the game as a whole, as well as specifically the mechanics. Developmental editing makes your game sing.

Editing
This involves consistency, clarity, and overall tone. Editing makes your voice come through more clearly.

Proofreading
This involves grammar, punctuation, spelling, and catching visual errors. Ideally proofreading happens before and after layout. Proofreading makes sure any mistakes are minimized.

Glossary / Indexing
This involves highlighting important words and phrases to pull out. Indexing / glossary creation makes it easier for your readers to understand and use your game.

Sensitivity / Cultural Consultations
This involves reviewing the game concept, as well as specific examples in the text, such as NPCs. Sensitivity/cultural consultations makes sure your game approaches these topics thoughtfully.

Financial planning
This involves coming up with a financial plan to make your business successful. Financial planning makes your business look out for pitfalls and common missteps as well as prepare for success.

Project Management
This involves overseeing all the steps of the publication process, from developmental editing to production, while communicating with all the people working on the project. Project management makes sure your game goes to production as smoothly as possible.
